This is the third time that I've used Mark Pickett over the past 8 years. This time he replaced a full length downipe that suffered from a leak caused by a top bend at the gutter inserted upside down by previous builders 12+ years ago. Mark has done everything from minor guttering works for us to complete roof renewal on two other houses in our road. Always reliable, professional and great value for money. We’ve recently had some work done on our house by M. Pickett Roofing and his team. Firstly they replaced most of the windows because the glass had become fogged up and the wooden frames leaked draughts. This entailed his team working inside and outside the house over several days: they were quick, hard working and left everything neat and tidy and clean. Well done. While he was here I asked Mark to have a look into re-pointing the roof gable ends as I could see from ground level that a lot on cement had fallen out, he reported that not only did the roof need re-pointing but that the felt lining had become brittle and broken under the tiles and that it should all be replaced. The house was built in the mid 1960s so this was not too much of a surprise. This work was completed in another 5 days, again to the same high standard. So, in brief, we have no qualms in recommending M. Pickett Roofing to all and sundry.

Having been let down with poor workmanship it was a delight to have Mark and the team come in and rectify all the issues. We have a large flat roof that was felted and leaked in a couple of places especially in heavy rain. We had already decided to replace the roof before calling Mark. He gave a lot of advice and was very re-assuring so we were happy for him to proceed after he quoted us. The original plan was to rip up the old roof but it became apparent that it may cause internal damage due to the structure of the existing roof and roof joists. So Mark built a structure on top with insulation before boarding and finishing with rubberised membrane. We have had torrential rain since and so far so good. His workmen were great guys - they were here for a week and were very friendly, tidy and respectful. In addition they also made good on some leadwork, re-configured the top of a soil stack and re-laid some coping stones and painted them (photo taken before painting). So we are very pleased and are more than happy to recommend Mark and his team.
